La globalización, la recesión, las altas finanzas carentes de moral, el empleo precario carente de moral, las políticas y movimientos de inmigración masiva carentes de moral, etc., todo ello ocurre obedeciendo a motivos de los que no tenemos ni tendremos jamás información fiable (gracias a los medios), pero cuyos efectos sí experimentamos nos expliquen lo que nos quieran explicar los medios. Por ejemplo, antes, un mileurista era considerado como un paria y ahora los canales de tv se encargan sutilmente de presentarlo como a un privilegiado vencedor. Guai, que se las arregla con los mil Euros y encima comparte fiambrera de buen rollo con los "compis" del trabajo. Y hay miles de ejemplos más, pero creo que la idea se ha captado ya. En realidad, esta gran mentira de la igualdad está acercando el Primer Mundo al Tercero y no el Tercer Mundo al nivel del Primero. Esa es la forma de control a la que en realidad aspiran los populistas junto a los sistemas teocráticos; y ellos lo saben, aunque prediquen lo contrario. Si la partidocracia (no vivimos en democracia) casi ha destruido a la clase media que heredó del franquismo, los populistas la barrerían por completo del mapa. De culminarse sus pasiones, las sociedades estarían compuestas por una masa de pobres muy pobres y unos pocos ricos muy ricos, controlando la producción y distribución pero no de la riqueza, sino de la pobreza bajo un sistema absolutamente fascista que ellos llamarían democracia.

Si vemos unas pisadas sobre la nieve podemos deducir que alguien ha pasado por allí, y también esas mismas pisadas evidencian hacia dónde se dirigen las huellas.

Debido al papel de universidades y medios de comunicación, pisadas en la nieve son las únicas pistas que tenemos ante todos los cambios vertiginosos que están ocurriendo en poco tiempo, y apuntan todas ellas a un mismo punto cuya interpretación depende de nuestra formación e inteligencia. Todas las evidencias convergen en la destrucción de la cultura occidental y de la clase media, es decir, la destrucción no solo de una civilización con más de 3000 años de historia sino de los logros que se consiguieron tras el paso de una cultura greco-romana, una Edad Media, un Renacimiento, una Revolución Americana, las Revoluciones Europeas, nuestro arte; nuestra forma de vida, en definitiva. Quieren destruir nuestra forma de vida y nuestra cultura. Y hasta aquí puedo leer. Como pista: en este momento, dos filosofías políticas tienen ese objetivo y además tienen los medios económicos y mediáticos para conseguirlo. Esos dos sistemas políticos además no se cortan en manifestarlo.

Pero todavía estamos a tiempo: si somos capaces de detectar el problema estamos dando un paso muy importante; el primero hacia la solución.Si ellos odian la democracia hay que contestar con más democracia, pero con de la de verdad.

¿Serviría cambiar de casta?

El tiempo cuenta en nuestra contra

Se congregaban en una plaza y alguien se lo ha regalado. Ya han conseguido cambiar el duro asiento del suelo en la Puerta del Sol por el de las mullidos sillones en Bruselas, Ayuntamientos y el Congreso. De llamar rabiosamente “casta” a la clase política han pasado a borrar esa palabra del diccionario; no sea que alguien se lo llame a ellos también. Se emocionan extasiados en las mieles del compadreo con la gran banca y empresarios ya que lo primero que hicieron fue contactar con ellos. Si se fijan, a la izquierda emergente con pretendidos tintes marxista no se les ha escuchado, en realidad, jamás criticar a ningún banquero; y lo primero que hizo su líder fue salir por todas las tv, y en especial la Sexta, encantado de conocerse a sí mismo junto a la flor y nata de banqueros y empresarios. Un ejercicio de cinismo por parte de quien se dedica a echar pestes del capitalismo y bla, bla, bla... Este servidor lo vio televisado con sus propios ojos y este servidor sí que mantiene memoria histórica de lo que le ha tocado vivir. Debo señalar que la tv la veo, pero no la escucho. La falsedad no me interesa y prefiero interpretar solo las imágenes, aunque sean sesgadas. Si Edipo solo alcanzó la sabiduría cuando, al final, estaba ciego; puede que la mejor manera de acercarse a la verdad con la tv sea siendo sordo.

Permítanme una pequeña historia sobre nuevos arribistas. Cuentan que tras una dura derrota, un general estaba recorriendo el campo de batalla y vio entre montones de cadáveres a un soldado de su ejército agonizando y cubierto de una masa informe de moscas, tábanos y sangre. El general se acercó conmovido a ayudar al moribundo para espantarle las moscas; pero el herido le imploró con un hilo de voz apagada que no lo hiciese. Sorprendido, el general le preguntó por el motivo: “Al espantar las moscas — respondió el herido—, mi sufrimiento se hará insoportable, pues ahuyentados estos parásitos hartos de sangre, que ya casi no me molestan, vendrán otros hambrientos y mi agonía se multiplicará. Déjeme morir en paz mi general”.

A la clase media, que lo poco que tenenos nos lo hemos ganado a sangre y fuego tras una vida entera de lucha y duro trabajo, más nos vale mantener las moscas que ya sufrimos que no confiar en otras nuevas por mucho que prometan que no nos picarán. No nos hace falta que vengan nuevas castas parasitarias a chuparnos la poca sangre que nos quede. Quienes ya tenemos experiencia sabemos a dónde nos quieren llevar quienes están hambrientos de poder y de culminar su avaricia. Nunca hemos gozado de libertad colectiva, pero por lo menos la libertad personal todavía la mantenemos; como derecho a la propiedad, a contratar o a ser contratado, por ejemplo. La nueva casta parasitaria nos quitaría hasta esos derechos. Y el tiempo cuenta en nuestra contra si no espabilamos.

La perspectiva de tener a un gorila rojo de presidente perpetuamente instalado en el poder absoluto diciendo “exprópiese”, como ocurrió en Venezuela; o dispuesto a abrir las fronteras, con la inevitable invasión masiva de inmigrantes tendría un coste social y económicamente suicida. Y ya sabemos a quiénes les robarían lo poco que tienen para mantenerlo. Desde luego, a la gran banca y empresarios con quienes televisivamente escenificaron las palmaditas en la espalda no.

Pero hay otra maravillosa posibilidad que se oculta a los españoles y cuya verdad jamás veremos divulgar a ninguno de los partidos, ni a los serviles medios de comunicación, catedráticos, artistas, intelectuales, etc. Esa opción es la que ofrece la confrontación entre los poderes ejecutivo y legislativo, tal como Montesquieu magistralmente descubrió en su Espíritu de Las Leyes. Señores lectores: sin separación de poderes enfrentados entre sí sometidos a perpetua tensión la corrupción está asegurada. El político que os cuente que luchará contra la corrupción mediante leyes y normativas desde un sistema partidocrático como el nuestro o es un necio, un ignorante, o peor; todo junto y además es un corrupto. El sistema contra la corrupción ya se inventó gracias a grandes pensadores y filósofos que señalaron un camino que el poder prefiere obviar. No los vamos a mencionar aquí pero se explican en el blog.

Battle of Lepanto 1571

The fall of Constantinople in 1453 would have never happened if the leaders in Europe had been wiser, less botched and greedy with their petty inner struggles. With Constantinople in their power, the Ottomans had now two free access unlocked to invade Europe: one through the Mediterranean and the other along the Balkans to Vienna and then, the rest of Europe.

On 7 October 1571, the naval battle of Lepanto cleaned the Mediterranean sea from Ottoman corsairs, which so much terror and suffering had caused throughout Europe by constant slaughtering, plundering and preying mercilessly in the chase of booty and Christian slaves. But the objective underlying was much more aggressive regarding warfare. By disrupting maritime communications, they sealed any possibility of commerce in the Mediterranean coasts and at sea. Severe famine and widespread poverty meant a high death rate to the terrorised Europeans with a Mediterranean trade so brutally disrupted.

The retaliation to so much terror came from the Pope Pius V and the Spanish King Felipe II, who sent his brother Juan de Austria, commanding a coalition of European Catholic maritime states. Mostly financed by the Spanish Empire. The battle of Lepanto decisively defeated the fleet of the Ottoman Empire for good and meant a gasp of fresh air for Christianity in Europe. The way of Islam conquering Europe; this time from the Mediterranean Sea, had been locked again. Only the Balkans remained as an open gate for the Ottomans entering Europe. The only opportunity left for the Islamic troops conquering Europe remained now from Istambul through the Carpathians to Viena.

LAS NAVAS DE TOLOSA 1212

Las Navas de Tolosa was a dramatical historic turning point as decisive as the battle of Gaugamela in 1st October 331 BCE, where Alexandre the Great had met and defeated the Persian vast army of Darius III. The confrontation between monolithic submissive rule against freedom has been a constant between Orient and Occident throughout all times. The Battle of Las Navas de Tolosa on 16 July 1212 was a crucial key point in the Reconquista and the medieval history of Spain and Europe. An invading even fiercer Muslim army crossed from Africa through Gibraltar to conquer the northern part of Spain, which had not been occupied yet. Such was the danger that four kings in the Iberian Penninsula joined forces to match the new threat. King Alfonso VIII of Castile, Sancho VII of Navarre, Peter II of Aragon and Afonso II of Portugal. It was an even brutal encounter where Santiago, Calatrava, Hospital and Temple orders joined nobles with their armed retinue and some forces that came from Europe to help. The Caliph al-Nasir (Miramamolín in the Spanish chronicles) led the Almohad army. Most of the men in the Almohad army came from the African side of the empire”.

The battle of Las Navas de Tolosa stopped Islamic troops from spreading further into Spain and topped their ambitions to conquer not only Spain but the whole of Europe riding from the Pyrenees up into France and the rest of Europe. Again, two radically different ways of life were at stake: perpetual serfdom vs. freedom. Had those Christian warriors failed in their quest, the whole of Europe would presumably be nowadays under the role of the Crescent Moon; even the new continent of America.

The nightmare of a mob rule

Nothing farther from my intentions than to present a nightmare portrait of Spain where the lights have gone out. But mob rule is apparently lurking in the dark in the appearance of a new political party which has come from extreme left radical demonstrators, violent Antifa, and well-meaning people misguided by smooth speeches and infantile rhetoric.

In Spain, we have personal rights: that is, the freedom to property, to signing contracts, to move freely about the country and out, to express political opinions, etc. Spaniards are almost enjoying a democracy except for the detail that we have no representation for the people. Political parties and not the people choose their nominees - In fact, they represent, that is, they "are present in the Congress for" or they stand for the leaders of the political party who put them into office. This lack of real democracy is not endemic, but it is shared by most of the countries in Europe except for France, UK and Switzerland.

The Secretary of that political party, which came out from the populist people gathering in the Puerta del Sol (a central square in Madrid) demonstrations expressed himself in terms that "it was too bad he, as a demonstrator, had forgotten his Kalashnikov at home". He also expressed his delight whenever he saw that a ballot officer was severely beaten during a demonstration by the mob.

In the Spanish system, with the lack of power in the hands of the people, someone with his deranged attitude would represent a clear danger not only to our liberty if the extremists came to power, but for the rest of Europe; which may come out to share something of Venezuela Maduro's system too. I know that nobody listens, but mind my words.

A State Crisis and not a Party Crisis

The Socialist Party sense of political ease will never entirely survive the lurch into a new third referendum in Spain. That was the result of the wild debate which took place a grim Saturday for PSOE, the Socialist party, after a bruising chaotic battle against other senior party members who were opposed to prolonging the deadlock in Spanish politics.

That is what we can pick up from newspapers, but the problem never mentioned underlying is much deeper. In Spain, there are no primaries: they just do not exist. Without primaries, the political system is not a democracy: it can be something else, but not a democracy. Call it partitocracy, for instance. In a partitocracy, political parties are a part of the State, so when any of the big political parties faces a seriously severe crisis, the State faces a crisis too. We are talking about a major State crisis here.

Socialists ousted their leader in a bid to end the deadlock in forming a new government by their counterpart right party after two general votings. I do not call them general elections because Spaniards have no opportunity to elect nobody. The parties give the names of the nominees in the ballots, and there is no way that a voter can elect anybody. That is the reason why it is a partitocracy and not a democracy.

The State supports both parties and politicians whether a citizen likes them or not. So politicians are but mere civil servants working for the State; which does not necessarily means they should be woking for the benefit of the citizen. In fact, they owe their devotion to the party leader. And the same goes for Trade Unions and so on. That was the reason why the real issue at stake here was a State crisis more than a minor party crisis.Vicente Jiménez
